Job: UI Designer, San Francisco, CA
UI designer for the world's largest publisher of social entertainment applications. We offer people the ability to engage and have fun with one another using the relationships they've already developed on social networks like Facebook and MySpace (youth market focus,18-34 y/o's).
You will design and implement the user interfaces for our app - an immensely popular video sharing application on social networking platform with 30+ million unique users a month. We would like to hire a UI design rock star improve our interface, usability, and make our application even more engaging and attractive as we add features. You will also help debug and maintain web products in a variety of environments, including cross-domain and cross-browser implementation.
Requirements:
- You have an online portfolio to show your work
- You want to work with smart, fun, highly ethical A players in small team fast pace environment
- You are passionate about designing UI for high traffic consumer websites. You have an eye for clean, elegant design. You are frenetic about usability and user experience
- You have solid HTML/CSS/AJAX chops to implement your vision
- You enjoy music, good food, ping pong, and a game of Guitar Hero now and then
- You enjoy small team fast pace environment where we work hard and play harder
Bonus:
- Know when and why to use tables, has knowledge of when an XMLHTTPRequest is useful versus when it is just cool, and can hand tune markup for efficient rendering
- Experience with Javascript framework such as jQuery, YUI, Prototype.JS
- Experience developing on Facebook or Opensocial
