Trends in the WEB as the TV alternative

As the founder of Mysoiree.net an online e-commerce site for visual arts, we are all about keeping our company and website entertaining and sticky!  I see a tremendous opportunity as consumers use their computers for entertainment and it replaces traditional tv.  Anyone working on any seriously intereactive video websites, or something like the home shopping network for a website?  Is upload and bandwidth still an issue?
